Law and Life

Bless the law for it brought me here,
Curse the law for it brought me here,
Absolve the law for it is colorless, mindless.
I make the choices of the roads to take,
If there is blame put it at my feet.
If there is glory let me wear the wreath.
Law is my axe and my hammer
From which I have built the house
Of my life.
Tools carry no blame for murder
Nor achieve glory for stunning design
I accept the blame and the glory
That is my life.
